Child Watch

The Nursery, Preschool Room and Activity Center are complimentary services to YMCA Members with Family Memberships while they are on the premises. They are provided for a maximum of 4-hours per day, 8 hours maximum per child, per week. Parents may bring juice, snacks and a change of clothes. Please bring any diapers, wipes and pull-ups, if necessary. Label all items brought into the childcare areas. In order to protect the other children and staff, children with contagious conditions are not allowed in these areas. See the Nursery or Preschool Room for complete policies including check in and check out procedures.

Nursery: Ages 3 months - 2 years
Monday - Friday: 8am - 1pm & 3pm - 8:30pm
The 1-3pm time period is to allow the staff to adequately clean, sanitize and straighten after the morning shift and prepare for the afternoon shift. It will not be available for members to use during this time.
Saturday: 9am - 2pm
Sunday: Closed

Preschool Room: Ages 2 years - 6 years
Monday- Friday: 8am - 1pm & 3pm - 8:30pm

Please note that due to staffing or low numbers of children, we reserve the right to combine rooms as necessary.

During the summer and on Barrow County school holidays, morning hours will be extended to Monday - Friday 9am to 12 noon.

YMCA Pre-School

Mom’s needing some shopping time or just time to relax? Enroll your child in our Pre-School program. Children will be introduced to language skills while strengthening fine and gross motor skills. Socialization is a big part of their day! (1 to 6 ratio)

2-3 years old Monday and Wednesday 9am-12:30pm

$35.00 per week/$10 one time registration fee

Tot Time

Tot time is a program FREE for parents and young children. The program includes devotion, craft activity and refreshments. Tot Time is held the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 10:30am and is free to YMCA Family members
