CLASS DESCRIPTIONSParent and Tot 18 mos. – 2 ˝yrs. - This class consists of a song time, gymnastics obstacle courses, exploratory time and loco motor activity time. Children are required to have parental assistance in this class. Length of class is 45 minutes. Parent and Tot 2 - 3 yrs. - This class consists of song time, gymnastics obstacle courses, exploratory time, loco motor and eye/hand coordination time. Children are required to have parental assistance in this class however, they will be preparing for the preschool program by working towards participating independently of parental assistance during the class. Length of class is 45 minutes. Toddler 2 ˝ - 3 ˝ yrs. – This class is for children who are ready to participate with little or no assistance from a parent. The class will consist of gymnastics obstacle courses, eye/hand and loco motor activities. The child will participate without parental assistance. Length of class is 45 minutes. Preschool 3 ˝ & 4 yrs. - This class consists of a song time, new skill time, three gymnastics obstacle courses, eye/hand and loco motor activities. The child will participate without parental assistance. Length of class is 1 hour. Kindergarten thru 12th Grade: Beginner to advance level classes will be offered. Each class is designed to teach basic through advance level skills on the vault, bars, beam and floor. Each level’s curriculum is based on teaching skills that each child must achieve prior to advancing to the next level. Each child will receive a skill chart for the instructor to use as a lesson plan. Length of class is 1 hr. Advance Classes: Invitation Only. Girls ages 5 yrs & up will work on the Georgia AAU Gymnastics level 2 & 3 skills. Classes will be 1 hour a day 2 days a week. Cheerleading Classes: Girls and boys ages 1st Grade thru 12th Grade. Focus on arm position, and movements, jumps, and tumbling (learn Back handsprings, back tucks etc.). Length of class 1 hr. Advanced Cheer/Tumble: Must have Back handspring with little to no spot – will learn more advanced tumbling skills. (Back tucks, layouts, layout full, etc) Length of class 1 hr. Girls training team: Invitation only. Girls ages 5yrs & up will work on the Georgia AAU Gymnastics level 3 competitive routines. Focusing on Level 3 skills, flexibility and conditioning. Classes will be 2 hours a day 2 days a week. Competitive Gymnastics: Invitation Only. Girls ages 5yrs & up. AAU Levels 3, 4, & 5 Competitive seasons November thru May. Girls will train 3 days a week for 3 to 4 hours a day. Pre-Competition Cheer Squad: Invitation only—Girls ages 3 and up. @ hour class that prepares for competition cheerleading including dance, stunting, tumbling, and cheer techniques. GYMNASTICS BIRTHDAY PARTIESEnjoy your child’s birthday party as much as your child! Leave the work and fuss to us! We give the greatest birthday parties at the lowest price in town. Birthday parties last for 1 1/2 hours with 1 hour of gymnastics taught by one of our expert gymnastics instructors. The remaining party time consists of food, fun and gift giving. You are responsible for refreshments and party supplies. Parties can be scheduled with the YMCA gymnastics staff. Party Fees: 1 - 10 children $75.00 11 - 20 children $100.00 |
